Urban Focus. Neighborhood Knowledge.
I have sold homes in all four quadrants of Washington, DC and can provide specific information on any neighborhood, whether it is for a first home purchase or high end luxury property. For several years, I have worked with homeowners, investors, architects, and developers, and have a positive reputation for understanding current market trends. I have significant experience with all manner of properties and price ranges, including condos and co-ops, single family homes, small commercial properties, and multi-unit apartment buildings. Having begun my real estate career in Montgomery County, MD, I am well versed in the close-in suburbs.

Services to Home Sellers and Buyers
I believe my education and expertise will make a significant difference in the sale or purchase of your home. In a complicated marketplace, it is essential for both buyers and sellers to be informed and represented throughout the process of a real estate transaction. In addition to accessiblilty and reliability, I strive to provide an experience-based perspective of market conditions and inventory, savvy negotiation and problem solving, and support throughout the process.
My Education and Experience
As the daughter of an architect, I have literally been looking at buildings and discussing construction and renovation for a lifetime. While real estate agents are only required to have a high school education, my personal resume includes an undergraduate degree from Penn State and a graduate degree from the George Washington University. I am licensed as a Real Estate Broker in the District of Columbia, and as a Salesperson in Maryland. In order to be a Broker, one must complete a higher level of education than a Salesperson. I have also graduated from the Realtor's Institute and hold the GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute) designation. In 2006, I graduated from The Leadership Institute sponsored by the Greater Capitol Area Association of Realtors (GCAAR). I participated on the Grievance Committee of GCAAR for several years, eventually serving as chairperson. I am currently part of GCAAR's Professional Standards Committee, and 2010 Chair of the Public Policy Committee. I have been a member of the state level Board of Directors for the Washington DC Association of Realtors since 2008 and serve as President Elect in 2010. Prior to becoming licensed to sell real estate, I managed a real estate appraisal firm, where I was trained and supervised by a licensed and certified real estate appraiser.
Real Estate Investment
I provide brokerage services for acquisition of small commercial properties and multi-unit buildings. Typically, I prefer to work with experienced developers.
My References
I am happy to put you in touch with people who have employed my services. I am honored to have represented other members of the real estate community (title attorneys, real estate appraisers, architects, loan officers, and even other licensed agents) in their personal and investment real estate acquisitions.
