Urban Focus. Neighborhood Knowledge.
I have sold homes in all four quadrants of Washington, DC and can provide specific information on any neighborhood, whether it be for a first home purchase or high end luxury property. For several years, I have worked with homeowners, investors, architects, and developers, and have a positive reputation for understanding current market trends. I have significant experience with all manner of properties and price ranges, including condos and co-ops, single family homes, small commercial properties, and multi-unit apartment buildings. Having begun my real estate career in Montgomery County, MD, I am well versed in the close-in suburbs. I am also licensed in Virginia and familiar with neighborhoods within the beltway.

Services to Home Sellers and Buyers
I believe my education and expertise will make a significant difference in the sale or purchase of your home. In a complicated marketplace, it is essential for both buyers and sellers to be informed and represented throughout the process of a real estate transaction. In addition to accessiblilty and reliability, I strive to provide an experience-based perspective of market conditions and inventory, savvy negotiation and problem solving, and support throughout the process.

My Education and Experience
As the daughter of an architect, I have literally been looking at buildings and discussing construction and renovation for a lifetime. While real estate agents are only required to have a high school education, my personal resume includes an undergraduate degree from Penn State and a graduate degree from the George Washington University. I am licensed as a Real Estate Broker in the District of Columbia and Virginia, and as a Salesperson in Maryland (Broker's License pending). In order to be a Broker, one must complete a higher level of education than a Salesperson. I have also graduated from the Realtor's Institute and hold the GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute) designation. In December 2006, I graduated from The Leadership Institute sponsored by the Greater Capitol Area Association of Realtors (GCAAR). I've been a member of the Grievance Committee of GCAAR for years. In 2007, I was the Vice Chair of this committee and in 2008 will serve as the Chairperson. I also serve on GCAAR's Public Policy Committee. I am a member of the 2008 Board of Directors for the Washington DC Association of Realtors, which is the state level Realtor organization for DC. Prior to becoming licensed to sell real estate, I managed a real estate appraisal firm, where I was trained and supervised by a licensed and certified real estate appraiser.

Real Estate Investment
My real estate practice has represented numerous seasoned real estate investors and developers. Types of transactions that I have participated in include: estate-owned, bank-owned (REO), multi-unit residential buildings for rental or potential condo conversion, individual condominium units for rental income, corporate packages of rental property, and raw land for development. My network includes strong relationships with lenders who specialize in potentially complex financing for renovation, investment real estate, and properties in AS-IS condition. While I tend to concentrate my investment business in Washington, DC, I have knowledge and experience with the Baltimore market, as well as personal referral sources across the US and in Central America. The Urban Pace Team, which is closely associated with EYA Urban Properties, is a leader in the DC area in providing marketing and brokerage services to developers of high end condominums and new construction properties. I welcome inquiries from experienced investors and developers.

My References
I am happy to put you in touch with people who have employed my services. I am honored to have represented other members of the real estate community (title attorneys, real estate appraisers, architects, loan officers, and even other licensed agents) in their personal and investment real estate acquisitions.
