He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors (NVAR) (1997-2002) and on the VAR Public Policy Advocacy Group (PPAG)(2000-2001). He is a member of the Town of Vienna Planning Commission; and is a former Chairman. He formerly was a member of the Town of Vienna Transportation Safety Commission (1998-2000) and the Fairfax County Consumer Protection Commission (1999-2000; Vice Chair (2000).
