Brandon Green, Founder and President
Brandon knows what you’re going through, because he’s been there. Whether you’re a buyer, seller, or investor—of anything from a home to commercial real estate—Brandon possesses a wealth of knowledge and expertise that has been an asset to his many clients over the years. As Founder and President of Brandon Green Companies, this expertise shines through in every aspect of the business. Concentration: There is a breadth and depth to Brandon’s expertise unmatched by other Realtors. His vision helps drive the hassle-free experience you’ll find when you move through our customized process with our unique team approach. Brandon loves the process, and is always on the lookout for new projects at home and abroad. Whatever your real estate needs, Brandon is here to focus on them and match you with your goals. Background: Brandon does not just know the process by helping others, but also from engaging in it himself. From a neglected Victorian farmhouse on Capitol Hill, to a condo in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Brandon has always been active in the process of buying, selling, and renovating. Brandon’s diversity of interest in real estate is further exemplified by a recent project—Stoney Creek Farm, a bed and breakfast he co-owns in Washington County, Maryland. Brandon is a Graduate of the REALTOR® Institute (GRI), is a licensed broker in the District of Columbia, Virginia, and Maryland, and has earned numerous awards for business and personal excellence and achievement. Odds and Ends: Brandon was born and raised for the first part of his life in Wyoming, before moving with his family to Iowa. In Iowa, he would gaze longingly out the family car’s window at dilapidated farmhouses with dreams of fixing them up. He rode that dream to Washington DC and the founding of Brandon Green Companies. Prior to his career in real estate, Brandon was a touring performing artist with Up With People. Brandon is still an active pianist and vocalist, as well as an avid weather buff.

Veronica Seva, International Property Specialist - GRI, CIPS
International and Luxury real estate comes with its own unique opportunities. Veronica has been there both personally, and as a representative of numerous international and luxury clients. Concentration: Veronica will help you understand the important differences between your country of origin, and real estate in the US. She’ll help you navigate international laws, and avoid letting challenges become problematic to your goals. Her experience and expertise help ensure a hassle-free experience that matches you with your goals and needs. Background: How is Veronica able to do this? She is a graduate from the University of Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain, with a degree in Labor Law. She later worked for Deloitte & Touche. Veronica currently holds real estate licenses for Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. But she is also a Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), which helps her better serve her international clientele. As such, she has worked with clientele from various countries of origin, uniquely positioning her to help you with your international real estate goals. With her knowledge about, and experience with, various countries and cultures, Veronica will make you feel like you are working with someone from your native country. For her international clientele, Veronica helps locate suitable properties and local realtors with whom to work. She loves facilitating—and experiencing—the cultural exchange that comes from working with international clientele. Odds and Ends: Veronica was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain, where her parents have worked in construction and real estate all of their lives. Some of Veronica’s earliest memories are of helping her father with bricks, cement, and tiles (in accordance with local labor laws, of course). Architecture dazzled Veronica from an early age, notably the bohemian designs along Las Ramblas and Antoni Gaudi’s fantastical creations, like Park Guell. Veronica has enjoyed living in the DC area for a while now. The ability to walk almost anywhere reminds her of her native Spain. Veronica is also fluent in Spanish.

Troy Patterson, Director of Relocation
Relocation is wrought with bumps and potholes, but they needn’t sidetrack you. As a longtime DC resident—and someone who once relocated to DC himself—Troy helps smooth the road between his clients and their real estate goals. Concentration: As Director of the Relocation Division for Brandon Green and Companies, Troy will start by listening to you and your needs and focusing on your goals. Troy gets to know his clients, directing them to properties and neighborhoods best suited to their needs, and then helping them acclimate to their new area. Washington DC is an area of constant change, and Troy’s knowledge of the DC area has been an asset to his many clients. Background: Troy is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and later worked as a fundraiser for universities in the DC area, and then for the National Building Museum. He then began investing in property in the DC area, as well as in Florida and South Carolina. He has been a resident of Washington, DC since 1987 and has seen the area change with the times, making him well-tuned to its many nuances. Odds and Ends: Troy first came to the DC area by being stationed here by the military. He connected with family and friends in the area, and has been here ever since—he knows what it’s like to relocate to Washington DC. While working as a fundraiser for the National Building Museum, Troy raised funds for an exhibition on affordable housing, at the same time he was purchasing his first home.

Ken Rub, Managing Director, Commercial & Investment Group
As Managing Director of Brandon Green Companies Commercial Real Estate and Investment Group, Ken combines his expertise in banking, brokerage, and wealth management with the needs of his clients. The result is a hassle-free endeavor that best meets the goals of his clients. Concentration: Ken helps a variety of clients realize their real estate and investment goals. This includes everything from helping small businesses lease properties, to matching buyers with the homes that best meet their needs. Ken understands the benefits of incorporating real estate—whether a home or investment—into his clients’ financial portfolios. Background: Ken received his BS in Finance from George Mason University. He then spent more than a decade working in commercial real estate and wealth management for financial institutions, including Citibank, Riggs Bank, and Wachovia. He also spent time as the vice president of First Horizon Bank’s commercial real estate group. Ken recently received his MS in real estate from Johns Hopkins University. He is also an investor himself, having renovated a home in Arlington, Virginia, and currently owning a rental property in Ohio. Odds and Ends: Ken served 6 years in the Army, spending 2 of those years stationed in Germany before being transferred to the DC area to serve on George Bush’s advance team. He was honorably discharged before enrolling at George Mason University. In addition to real estate, Ken is also a member of the award-winning Alexandria Harmonizers, a barbershop chorus that has entertained the DC metro area for more than 50 years. Ken also spends time as a certified yoga instructor. Having practiced yoga for 12 years, he now leads a class in kundalini yoga on Sunday mornings.

Christian Salinas - Executive Coordinator
As Executive Coordinator for Brandon Green Companies, Christian manages the back-office operations you may not see. From reams of paperwork to the logistical coordination of your transaction, he simplifies the process for both you and us. Concentration: Christian also oversees the office, including the sales support team. He specializes in all those office-related tasks that keep everything oiled and running smoothly—from ratification for buyers to readying the listings for sellers, and from in-house accounting to the processing of all relevant paperwork. Christian’s role is vital to our focus on you and your real estate needs—he is a key ingredient to the unique team approach that differentiates us from other Realtors. Background: Christian was the first employee to join Brandon Green Companies in 2004. Prior to that, Christian worked for the Inter-American Development Bank. Christian’s skills expand beyond office coordination. He also owns his own staging company, Staging Design DC, and does all the staging for Brandon Green Companies. This allows him to flourish his creativity over vacant homes, making them more appealing to buyers so sellers and investors can maximize their profits. Odds and Ends: Christian was born in Carupano, Venezuela—a small coastal town a few hundred miles east of Caracas. He moved to Washington, DC in 1999. Christian is fluent in Spanish.

Amber Cummer- Process Specialist
As Process Specialist for Brandon Green Companies, Amber is another ingredient in our unique team recipe. From customer relations to managing databases and marketing, Amber’s is often the voice you’ll hear on the other end of the phone. Concentration: Amber works on projects vital to the process Brandon Green Companies has customized over the years. Much of Amber’s work involves customer relations and keeping track of clients, other agents, vendors, and sundry other people involved in a real estate transaction. Her organizational and interpersonal expertise allows the Brandon Green Companies team to focus on you and your real estate needs. Background: Amber first joined Brandon Green Companies in 2005, working primarily on small projects as a result of growing database and marketing management needs. As the needs have grown, so too has Amber’s role. Prior to joining the team, Amber worked in a variety of management roles, from retail to elementary education. She utilizes this experience not only to communicate more effectively with our clients, but also to keep the team on schedule and organized. Odds and Ends: As noted before, Amber’s is often the voice you will hear on the other end of the phone line. However, you are unlikely to ever see her as she works remotely from Iowa. Amber was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming, later lived in Oregon, and now resides in Iowa.

Whitney Miller - REO Field Manager
Even when an REO (Real Estate Owned) property has made it to market, our preservation efforts continue. As REO Field Manager, Whitney continues these efforts once the property has been listed, taking the baton from Preston as part of our unique team approach. Whitney’s efforts are vital in our customized process of getting REO properties to market, and sold. Concentration: The baton actually gets passed both ways, too, as Whitney is the first to see a property, performing checks on the occupancy status, among other things. And just because a property has been reconditioned enough to go to market, many tasks remain in preserving and maintaining it. From maintaining a property’s utilities status, to its overall condition, Whitney assures the property will remain in good shape throughout the process. He also handles the turnover of the property to new buyers. Background: Real estate was not always what Whitney did, though helping people is nothing new. Prior to coming to work for Brandon Green Companies, Whitney worked as a professional in hospitality management, specifically managing hotels for over 12 years. His most recent experience was that of Director of Guest Services for the Gaylord National Harbor. Whitney came on board with Brandon Green Companies in a part-time role, but soon fell in love with the machinations of the real estate process. It was then simple to combine this new interest with the devotion to client satisfaction Whitney had honed for years—the result is a client-focused dedication you’ll feel throughout the process. Odds and Ends: Whitney’s interests outside of work are as many and varied as his days within Brandon Green Companies. These interests include, though are not limited to, rollerblading, tennis, theatre, live jazz, travel, and exercise, all in abundance. Whitney is originally from New Orleans, and aspires to one day retire there.

Preston Taylor - REO Field Manager
Our property preservation efforts don’t happen by magic. As REO (Real Estate Owned) Field Manager for Brandon Green Companies, Preston assesses REO properties, getting them in shape as best he can before they go to market. From initial inspections to obtaining bids and overseeing work done on a property, Preston is a vital piece to our property preservation efforts. Concentration: No two REO properties are alike in their needs, making the task of property preservation all the more challenging. Preston uses his knowledge and expertise to assess the condition of REO properties, then makes recommendations on repairs to banks. He also obtains bids from contractors, manages the repair phase of a property, and oversees other vendors in cleaning/maintenance—all part of our commitment to property preservation. Background: Reconditioning distressed homes is nothing new for Preston. Prior to coming to work for Brandon Green Companies, he lived in San Diego where he rebuilt homes for the survivors of the devastating fires of 2007. Prior to that, he worked in the mortgage industry, reconstructing subprime loans for a large investment company on Wall Street. Preston also has experience flipping homes. All of these experiences add up to an appreciation for taking distressed homes and making them appealing to modern buyers. Odds and Ends: Preston’s interest in hands-on work has also led him to certification as a Green Building Professional through the National Association of Homebuilders. Preston aspires to further this professional development in taking the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) exam, with eyes on becoming an accredited professional in the green building industry. When not working on Brandon Green Companies projects, Preston also spends time as a personal trainer.
